Effect of chrysin and sildenafil on hepatic immunohistochemical sections. Photomicrograph of immunostained sections of the liver for caspase-3 showed nearly undetectable stained hepatic cells in the control group (A), the sildenafil group (B), the chrysin group (C), and the combined-treated group (H). However, high expression of positive cells (arrow) was demonstrated in the Zinc oxide nanoparticles group (D). A moderate number of immune labeled cells (arrow) were seen in both the chrysin prophylaxis (E) and the chrysin-treated (F) groups.
